Glendon was part of the core group of journalists who embarked on the vision of Jamaica’s first 24-hour news station, JNN, in 2004. He left in 2006 for personal pursuits and was recalled in 2008.
As news editor he has oversight responsibility for the entire news room and its functions.
In addition to his responsibilities at the 24-hour cable news channel, Glendon also oversees live news shows and news specials aired on JNN including the recent incursion in West Kingston.
Under his stewardship JNN received the most hits on line for cable and free to air for its coverage of and follow up of the situation in West Kingston. JNN’s News traffic has also shown tangible growth and the station has been cited on several occasions for its objective news reports .
A graduate of the University of the West Indies, Mona, Glendon has a proven track record of journalistic integrity and keen news judgment.
Prior to joining JNN Glendon wrote stories for the Sunday Herald newspaper.
